We have an opportunity for a Set-Up Technician to join our team in Anacortes, WA. The Set-Up Technician is responsible for ensuring the equipment is set up in compliance with production requirements prior to production start.
Key Job Responsibilities
Duties will include but are not limited to:
- Change twister gears and inspect machine prior to production start.
- Perform AMs on equipment such as braider prior to production start.
- Assist in other maintenance projects as required.
- Understand and comply with HSSE policies and standards. This includes reporting, correcting safety hazards, providing improvement suggestions and intervening to stop processes, procedures or people that are creating an HSSE risk.
- Understand and comply with Quality Management System policies and objectives in all tasks assigned.
- To intervene and report any defect in material, product, machinery, practice, or event which could affect quality or product performance.
- Suspend or halt any procedure or process that affects safety or quality until a resolution is determined.
- Follow instructions and manage tasks to meet deadlines and production needs in your area and support/execute all other tasks outside their role as required.
- Adheres strictly to all production related procedures and instructions while performing all tasks.
- Meet all physical demands outlined.
- Ensure compliance of organization policies and procedures.

Qualifications/Requirements
- Education Requirements: High School diploma or GED preferred.
- 1 – 3 years of light to medium industrial experience preferred with general knowledge in mechanical, electrical, basic hand tool, and computer skills.
- This is a warehouse and manufacturing position with exposure to loud noises and hazards. Will be required to wear suitable PPE throughout the day.

Job Overview
We are seeking a hands-on, cross-functional Manufacturing Engineer to join our team to improve connections between product design & development and manufacturing operations. This hybrid role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of product innovation and process efficiency. The successful candidate will drive design-for-manufacture (DFM) initiatives, lead Lean and continuous improvement efforts, and play a key role in launching new products into production with a strong focus on scalability, quality, and cost-effectiveness. Job type: Full-time, based on-site – Anacortes, WA or Houston, TX (hybrid support across both facilities), with some travel: up to 25% may be required.
Key Job Responsibilities
Duties will include but are not limited to:
- New Product Integration
- Partner with R&D and NPD teams to ensure manufacturability during the early stages of product development
- Develop production-ready processes and tooling for new (and custom) rope and sling products
- Pilot, test, and scale up manufacturing processes for new materials and constructions
- Manufacturing Engineering
- Support daily operations with technical troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and continuous process stabilization
- Improve equipment utilization, throughput, and process reliability
- Lead technical training and process documentation efforts to support operations
- Continuous Improvement / Lean Initiatives
- Identify and lead Lean Manufacturing projects using tools such as value stream mapping, 5S, Kaizen, and standard work
- Analyze data and implement measurable improvements to reduce waste, improve cycle time, and boost product quality
- Manage Engineering Change Control for established product families including associated bill of materials, routings and process instructions, when applicable
- Facilitate cross-functional improvement efforts that align with plan and business goals
- Cross-site Collaboration
- Work across both the Anacortes WA and Houston TX facilities to align improvement efforts and share best practices
- Participate in regular site visits and remote collaboration with production, quality, and engineering staff
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering (or similar technical field).
- 3 –10 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering or continuous improvement role, ideally within industrial textiles, polymers, or related industries
- Proven track record applying Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Strong understanding of DFM principles and experience supporting new product launches into production.
- Excellent communication and project management skills across functions and levels.
- Ability to travel periodically between both USA plant locations.
- Preferred:
- Experience with rope, netting, or high-performance fibers manufacturing.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher certification.
- Hands-on familiarity with CAD, ERP systems, and data analysis tools.
